What is "Style"?

Hello there fashionistas and fellow bloggers, Today is my first, and soon to be many, blog post. I realize there are many other fashion blogs out there, but I assure you mine will set itself apart from rest. When researching other fashion blogs I noticed one after the other contained pictures of current trends and explanations of "what's hot", but very few of them cater to the common person. Anyone can research current trends, post a picture containing a caption, and link it to other social media sites. It takes a true fashionista to brake down the world of fashion. The real question here, when stumbling across fellow bloggers, is what created their definition of style? Sure the monthly Vogue magazine creates a picture of whats in and publishes rules stating, "no white jeans before Labor Day", but who are the faces behind it all? Their job is to research what is going on in the world of couture and transfer that information back to the common person. What they don't realize is, the "common person" doesn't have 6,000 dollars to drop on this seasons Manolo Blahnik wedges. So we are left to search for places like Forever 21, H&M, and Urban Ouitfitters that come closest to what Vogue calls "style". Being a woman of two jobs, a monthly rent and car payment, food expenses as well as a cellphone bill, I find myself clinging to these places with the hopes that I will be able to find that same Manolo Blahnik shoe made from cheaper material, making it less then half the price. Its unfortunate isn't it?, that the only people that can afford this kind of couture fashion are the ones who created it. I started this blog to show the common person that style doesn't have to be about the name of the designer or the price tag they attach. Afterall, style is really about how you wear what you already have or can curruntly afford. Sincerely, Just another common person.
